Plan:- I intended to do an online registration BUT decided on cost alone that it will save you €3.50 and save me same, so over 200 entrants that’s €1,400 min

Hiya, Appreciate if you could pass this info on Eireman X onto your club secretary. Be much obliged if they could put it up somewhere on the website please to let the gang know.
Eireman X (the off-road triathlon) 19th September
Dear Club Secretary,
I’m enclosing a bit of info for your club news page/notice board about Eireman X (the off road Triathlon) – limited to 200 entries and places are still available. Race day is 19th September in Courtown Harbour, Co Wexford. There may be a few members of your club interested in giving it a bash especially since it’s the last race of 2010. This race is a mix of Triathlon, Xterra, adventure racing and Tough guy mixed together.....
· Distances: 750m swim, 10k Cycle (mountain bike only), 5km run
· Swim is parallel to the shore (you can stand up if you wish so nice and relaxing)
· The cycle is on a mountain bike. It’s not technical but some sections require the right gear at the right time. Because it’s a two loop course you get a second chance to get some sections right on your return. Some parts are flat and fast on fire trails and some you can’t cycle due to terrain and just plain old gravity. You also have to carry your bike through a river twice. Plenty to stimulate your senses as you wiz around the trees
- The run is along woodland paths but you have to cross 3 rivers and cross a further river twice which some might swim (its waist deep) scramble up the river banks and keep your momentum going to the finish line.
· Quality printed T-shirt (a keeper perhaps...?!)
· Relay Teams accepted
- Courtown Harbour is 1hr 20 mins from (O’Connell Bridge) Dublin
- You don’t need a fancy mountain bike for this with suspension etc.
- Get a shower afterwards in Coral park leisure centre
This is the 3rd time this race has taken place and we have had many repeat offenders. There is always great chat at the finish line about how you got this section right and lost time on others.
Online entry is open now at www.eireman.org
Hope to see a few of your club mates there on 19th of September to go out with a bang for 2010
Thanks Eoin
Hi all,
Just a quick note asking if you could inform your club members that the Brian Boru Tri Challenge online entry will be closing Thursday week, 5th July, at 6pm sharp. It promises to be a great day (& night!) with some fantastic spot prizes up for grabs as well; e.g. a Merida Road Race 901-18 bicyle or a 3-month consultation with a sports nutritionist to name a few. Entry includes t-shirt, goody bag, free food at the post-race BBQ and a memorable race course ;-). There will also be a splash & dash event for 12-16 year olds before the main event. See www.brianborutrichallenge.com for more details.
Entry to "The Edge Sports" Sandycove Island Challenge is now open via the ActiveGlobal website.
If you do not have a postal code...try IE
Folks...last year more than 100 of you contacted me with questions about the entry process, cost and trying to get into the event after it was sold out. While it is always nice to hear from you all - this did cause me to leave this swim committee (for an easier life!). So I'll see you on the day....but please do not contact me about logistics concerning the swim. If you have swimming questions then I'll be happy to hear from you!
